President Signs FY2020 Continuing Resolution; Government Funded Through November 21

Update:
On September 26, the Senate passed the FY2020 Continuing Resolution by a vote of 81-16. The President signed the bill on September 27.

On September 19, the House of Representatives passed a Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Continuing Resolution (CR) by a vote of 301-123 that will avoid a government shutdown, which would otherwise begin on October 1. The  CR funds the government through November 21.

The intent is to buy time for appropriators and leadership to reach agreement over 302(b) levels and policy riders, and negotiate and pass all 12 Appropriations bills.

The Senate is expected to vote on the CR next week.
