Sponsored by Research to Prevent Blindness, this initiative provides professional development opportunities and showcases early-stage investigators from Departments of Ophthalmology and Schools/Colleges of Optometry.
During Emerging Vision Scientists Program, participants present their cutting-edge research and educate Congressional Members and staff about the importance of vision research. They also invite them to visit their departments, strengthening the connection between emerging vision scientists and policymakers. This program bridges the gap between the scientific community and legislative bodies, advocating for continued support and investment in vision science.
