Congress Passes, President Signs, FY2022 Continuing Resolution

Update:

On September 30, shortly before the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, Congress passed, and President Biden signed, a FY2022 Continuing Resolution (CR).

The CR (H.R. 5304, Extending Government Funding and Delivering Emergency Assistance Act)  extends government funding at FY2021 funding levels through December 3, 2021, and  also suspends the debt limit through December 16, 2022, provides $28.6 billion in disaster relief, and provides $6.3 billion to support Afghanistan evacuees. 

The CR also extends the availability of funds for multi-year National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants that were obligated in FY2016 and were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
