NEI Announces Audacious Goals Initiative Winners

On February 8, the National Eye Institute (NEI) announced ten winning ideas from a pool of nearly 500 entries submitted in its Audacious Goals Initiative, a nationwide competition for compelling, one-page ideas to advance vision science. Each winner will receive a $3,000 prize plus travel expenses to attend the NEI Audacious Goals Development meeting, to be held February 24-26, 2013, in Potomac, Maryland. Meeting sessions will be Webcast. NAEVR will attend the meeting and provide a summary report.

NEI has provided NAEVR a graphic of the United States in which it has identified from where the submissions, including the winning ideas, originated.
