NAEVRs James Jorkasky Receives AGS Presidents Award

On March 5, the American Glaucoma Society (AGS) President Jeffrey Liebmann, M.D. (New York University School of Medicine) presented NAEVR Executive Director James Jorkasky with the 2011 Presidents Award, recognizing his dedication to glaucoma research and patient education.
At the AGS meeting, Joel Schuman, M.D., F.A.C.S. provided the Clinician-Scientist Lecture. On March 9, Dr. Schuman was the featured speaker at AEVRs World Glaucoma Week Congressional briefing entitled Glaucoma: Understanding Disease Progression, which was co-sponsored by the AGS and other major ophthalmic and optometric societies and patient advocacy organizations.
