Emerging Vision Scientists Reception and Recognition of AEVR’s 25th Anniversary
5:30 - 7:30 pm, House Rayburn Foyer

The reception showcases the work of 21 early-stage vision scientists from across the United States who will display posters and discuss their breakthrough research to save sight and restore vision. The event, made possible by a grant from Research to Prevent Blindness, focuses on answering the question, How will this research delay or prevent the $717 billion annual cost of eye disease and vision impairment projected by year 2050? The reception also recognizes the 25th Anniversary of AEVR, the educational foundation serving as the privately funded Friends of the National Eye Institute (NEI) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR), a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, is proud to announce these educational programs associated with its Decade of Vision 2010-2020 Initiative, a sustained educational effort acknowledged by Congress that recognizes the benefits of federally funded vision research.
